 After a detailed planning session at FNF office, Future Youth Group (FYG) gets a tail wind for its activities in 2009. Mr. Kellerhoff, the FNF Resident Representative together with his team helped the youngsters to formulate achievable yearly objectives and explained the prerequisites of effective program planning.
The workshop held at FNF office on March 29, 2009 included intensive sessions on program planning in line with FNF themes aiming to introduce the younger generation with the basics of liberalism. During the brain storming session, the young board members expressed their concerns on the exploitation of youth by the political and religious forces especially in the educational institutions. It was agreed that it was high time to develop a strategy to aware the students of the real function of student unions urging them to safeguard their rights. For this it was decided to create FYG connection groups in the identified universities who would organize roundtables on various liberal topics in concurrence with the socio-economic issues of the country on a regular basis. Liberal thinkers from the pool of FreedomGate Pakistan would be invited to give the talk on these occasions. A comprehensive action plan for 2009 would be submitted to FNF for support later this week. |
